ZELLA’S NEW FURF BOWL

Meal times have risen to a whole new level for our rescue dog Zella now that she has been given a Furf Pets bowl. Like no other dog bowl, it could quite easily be called the Rolls Royce of dogs bowls.

This very stylish bowl, which takes dogs bowls to a new art form, is lovely to look at and certainly enhances Zella’s corner of the kitchen. Now no longer ashamed of her old plain dish, this new stainless steel bowl, which is encased in white silicone rubber, blends in beautifully with the kitchen’s colour scheme.

As Zella is a very enthusiastic eater, the silicone rubber stops the bowl from sliding along the floor and the spill resistant lip has reduced any mess from getting onto the kitchen floor, which makes my job of cleaning up after her much easier. Meal times are even more exciting now that she has a bowl to be proud of.

Available in three sizes, I thought the medium was just right for her and another great feature is that it’s also dishwasher safe.

I think Zella feels very posh using her new Furf bowl.  www.furfpets.com.au   #sandratiltman  #johnpond  #furf  #dogs

DISARONNO IS NOT ONLY FOR COCKTAILS

When a product has been around since 1525, you know it has to be good. Made in Italy, Disaronno is the world’s premium Amaretto liqueur. Unique and original, it can lay claim to satisfying the tastes of those who love drinking a great cocktail.

Any number of delicious drinks can be made with this magical liqueur that has a characteristic almond taste.

One of my favourite ways to drink Disaronno is to just pour it over ice or as a Sour by mixing Disaronno with freshly squeezed lemon juice. The art and skill of cocktail making is only limited by the bar tender’s imagination.

Disaronno does not just stop with cocktails but can enhance the flavour of many a gourmet dessert or biscuits and sweet treats.

John Pond runs in City to Surf for first time: Well actually I was taking photos in front of our new home at Vaucluse, needed to cross the street. Had to join the race to do so. Covered about 200 yards, best effort yet.

Each course has been inspired by color, scent, sound & light. This culinary experience highlights a different colour for the food and alcohol in each course. Diners will be enchanted with the first course in green, followed by purple/blue then red leading to the finale of a blank canvas on which the diner can create an artwork with the brush provided, then consume their creation.Open during Vivid only, from 24 May until 15 June. BASTILLE DAY

A New Caledonian beach, complete with sand and great French food stalls, has sprung up in Circular Quay from now until Sunday 14 July. French patisserie style cakes, cheeses, oysters, crepes and many more delicious treats await to tempt, accompanied by a huge selection of wines from the various French wine regions which are available to purchase by the glass.

There are even movies under the stars to be watched while sitting in deckchairs on the lawn front of Museum of Contemporary Art plus a special area has been set aside full of exciting rides for children.

Christmas Market stalls in Argyle Street complete the picture and in the evening this section of The Rocks comes alive with falls of snow.

Jack and the Beanstalk

State Theatre Sydney. A must for the kids.

For school holiday fun take the kids to see a traditional pantomime like we all loved in our youth. It comes complete with the dastardly villain,  hero, good fairy and panto dame. Booing and hissing are a must. 3D surprise in the second half rounds off a great show. Until 21 July.

Panama House  opposite the beachfront at Bondi turned on the snow for the launch of their Winter Wonderland. Elegant people enjoyed the cocktails and hot toddies made with Canadian Club. A selection of their Latin American inspired fare kept everyone happy. Looking forward to returning for dinner.
